Here is a little forum game. In it, we will make stories of cars or car owners, snippet by snippet. There are 2 formats:

    1. Story of a car. Each poster adds info about each owner, what they did to their cars and when did they own them.
Poster A: In 1968, Will McMahon, an older Chicago businessman, bought a '69 model year Buick Electra 225 coupe with lots of equipment, even a car phone. Due to McMahon's job, the car travelled a lot. In 1969, it was traded in for a '70 Electra 225, having 37k miles on the clock. The '69 was bought by...

Poster B: ...Trevor Donnell, a bank employee searching for his first luxury car. It was used by him mainly for showing off, and actually didn't have Donnell rack a lot of mileage on it. In 1971, the Buick was sold to...

Poster C: ...Martin Garfield, a bar owner from the Downtown. He was searching for a cheap luxury car, and found that. The car was used by him until 1974, when fueling it was too expensive. It got sold to...

    2. Story of an owner. Every poster adds info about each car of that owner, how long they had it, and what they did to it.
Poster A: In 1970, Daniel Wilson, a 17-year-old British Midlander, got his first car - a hand-me-down 1966 Ford Zephyr 4. Generally, it was good, but the handling was a bit inadequate, and the 2.0 engine seemed too big for a first car. By 1973, the Zephyr got replaced by a...

Poster B: ...1967 BMW 1602. That was closer to what Wilson wanted - a good-handling, but practical and inexpensive to run car. It was in his possesion until 1978, by which point Mr. Wilson was working at British Leyland and it was frowned upon for him to be driving a BMW. The new car was a...

Poster C: ...1975 Triumph Stag. Sure, it was more expensive to run, but its owner now had a steady job. However, the engine kept overheating, and in 1980,,it was swapped for a Rover 3.5. The Stag was sold in 1982, and replaced by a...

    Rules:
    • The two formats should not mix.
    • Once we reach the current year, an owner's dead or a car's scrapped, it's the end of a story.
    • No crazy or zero-effort/edgy eff-this-ess posts - be 100% (maybe 90%:)) serious.
    • If there are two or more different continuations, all taking off from the same point, take the one you like the most.
    • Feel free to start the next story, once one ends.

So, here is the first story, a story of an owner:
In 1986, Joe Clarentson from North Carolina bought his first car at the age of 17. It was a 1974 Ford Thunderbird that previously belonged to his cousin. Joe liked his car, as it was a pretty good used luxury vehicle, and took it with himself to community college (diploma: welding) in 1988.

However, in 1990, the car's transmission died. Because of the depreciation the Bird had gone through during the 16 years of use, a repair would have been uneconomical, and so the car went to the junkyard. It got replaced with a...

CONTINUED: It got replaced with a '56 Bel Air, polished and completely rebuilt. Then, in May of 1996, the Chevrolet crashed into a taxi in Raleigh, severely injuring Joe, and damaging the Chevy. Confirmed that it wasn't his fault, he still decided to obtain the damaged Bel Air... but it was too late. On June 3rd, he passed away after the severe injuries.

NEW STORY - 1985 Toyota Trueno Corolla AE86: On the night of December 23rd of 1989 in Kitchener, Ontario, a 30-year old cartoon fanatic Dallas Edgar, was traded a Trueno by a JDM fan for his 2000GT. The JDM fan bought the car for $19500 from San Francisco, but decided to give it to someone responsible enough to keep it alive and well. Dallas was one of those people, who handled his 2000GT like his father did when he bought the car for him 3 years ago. Getting to test it out, he had fun driving around his city, so he decided to keep it as long as he can. But, during the noon of July 4th, 1998, he decided to give out the Trueno, as he was gonna get the AE85 Levin. As it was sold for America, this American citizen was...

...Dave Bryant, a college student of international law from Chicago, having a semester in Canada. He wanted a light, fun car, and was willing to go through the procedures of getting it registered in Illinois as a car similar to the Corolla. Unfortunately, the RHD aspect of the Trueno proved problematic, so the steering rack and dashboard were swapped for units from a wrecked and rusted 1985 Corolla SR5 from a junkyard.
The "Truenorolla" was Mr. Bryant's daily driver until 2001, and then stayed in his hands until 2007. That was when Bryant saw a nice Ferrari 308 for sale, one that he could afford, and had to sell the Toyota, having only 2 garage spaces. The AE86 was sold to...

Santiago Riveria, a Chilean-American in Jacksonville, Florida. He was looking for a car that'll get people's attention right away, and then received the AE86. A few months later, he replaced the front suspensions, because it was leaning. He also painted the car red, like the GTS. On the winter of 2011, he wanted to sell the AE86 for the Maxima A33. The AE86 was set for...

...Joliet, where its next owner, Ryan Livins, lived. Mr. Livins was a JDM enthusiast, and wanted a JDM car that could be daily driven, having the steering wheel on the left. The Trueno became his daily, and stayed in that role until 2014, when R32 Skylines became legal in the US.
Livins was by then able to afford one, but in order to pay for it, he had to sell his Toyota, so he did. The car went to...

New Jersey City Hall Official Laurence Ford, who chose a car that's sporty, but respectable for his audience. The AE86 was his choice, and he enjoyed it enough to keep a eye on. He did had to fix the headlight, with a lucky spare from eBay. Another change to the car was a seat change for the regular front seats to Brembo seats. But on his resign on March 4th of 2015, he had to sell the AE86 to get the 2014 Corolla, where the next owner would be...

...Liam Allen, a relatively young New Yorker searching for a fun-to-drive RWD car. He fitted it with sport suspension and daily drove.
In May 2017, Mr. Allen was looking seriously at buying a Lotus Elise,,but ultimately decided to keep his Toyota.

New story, one for a car:
In 1979, Mr. Roger Brawlson, a businessman from Bakersfield, CA, who used to do a lot of travelling, bought a Mercedes 300SD. He thought it would be good for his travelling lifestyle, being reliable and quite comfortable (though not as much as his previous car, a 1977 Cadillac Fleetwood).
The Mercedes served him well for 169k miles, but in 1984, his daughter Brandy turned sixteen, and he decided to give her the Merc as her first car. She got it on her birthday, and...

(BTW, used Mercedes cars rarely get exported to Japan. In fact, they often are exported from there, with how caring Japanese Benz owners are)

Simon Smith, a 22 year old from Manchester. He kept the car until 2003, by which time it had become unreliable, but on the 5th of August the brakes failed and it re-ended a Rover Metro at 27mph, writing off both cars. The Escort was replaced with a 2002 Ford Focus and was scrapped on the 18th of October.
    NEW STORY
25 year old Michael Hood bought a 1980 Ford Mustang in 1982 to replace his old 1974 Ford Pinto which had been his first car. Then in 1986, after 4 years of enjoyment he damaged it and couldn't afford to fix it. It was sold for $3500 at auction. His next car was a...
