Hey everyone. First off, I love this game, I got it as soon as it was for sale on Your website, i have 3400+ hours playtime on steam with this game, it is A fantastic game :D

    - But sadly the way the physics in the game is handled now after the 3-4 last updates really messing up the slow motion. In almost every crash with 2 or more cars or props, it all sticks together, it is so frustrating to try to make cool videos like T-bone crashes or lots of cars racing together....

    - You have moved some of the physics calculations over to the GPU (graphics card) And that have made the Realtime crashes very good almost none stickyness when cars crashes together, and that is awesome for people that just want to race and crash in realtime. But if we go into slow motion (8x 16x 100x) It all sticks together, and the tires freak out (they stick to car parts and get ripped apart)

    - Is it at all possible that we how have high end CPUs can have the old way of calculating the physics as a option in the settings menu ? I really hope this can get fixed so it work both ways :D

Here are 3 videos to show what I mean

The old way of handling the physics:

    Remove bumpers/hoods/doors and then try.

I did not remove anything in the older videos.... IT worked before is my point...

Edit: I did a test without all the bodypanels like you suggested.. no difference

They moved flexbody calculations to the GPU, that won't effect the way the vehicles physically behave.

Although you're 100% right, currently it's impossible to even pit maneuver another car without the fenders merging together and becoming impossibly stuck. This really needs to be fixed, top priority.

Yes this should be a priority, so i really hope the devs will chime in here, so we can start to find a
solution to this problem that makes everyone happy :)

What's actually happened is we fixed some major bugs and made the collision code way more effective. The problem is actually that before the improvements, the collision code was unreliable, allowing the nodes to clip through, and then clip back out very easily. Now, they rarely clip through, but instead, when the nodes find ways around the exposed edges of the fenders, bumpers, and doors, they get stuck like grappling hooks. And because of the more effective collision code, its harder to get them unstuck. We haven't found a good way to fix the problem yet.

AFAIK there is no reason why slow motion would be any different, the physics per frame is exactly the same. Nor does flexbody calculation have anything to do with it, flexbodies are visual representations only and have no bearing on physics at all.

but the proof is in the videos, and it is horrible sad, and it happens with no panels on the cars to. And I did say it is awesome in realtime now. But it is awfull in slowmotion. pleace dont just
brush this to the side as nothing serious.

Thank you leifke for your bug report.

As Goosah said above, there shouldn't be any change, collision wise, between slow motion and normal play. Nevertheless Goosah did some heavy testing and found a statistical difference (more clipping in slow motion vs normal motion). This pointed to a bug existing in the physics core, which after a lot of detective work we found it.

The bug has high priority now, and it'll be fixed for the next update.

Thank you guys so much for making this a high priority matter, and beside this slow motion bug, this game is awesome, and you have come a long way, keep up the great work, and im really looking forward to the next update now :D
