It's the packaging of the file; it should have the "levels" folder containing "passostelvio" to work as a zip-in-the-mod-folder but it has just the latter in it.

Thanks for that. Actually from the beginning I had the impression that the simulated power loss is a bit too much. Seems I was right.
The generally accepted rule of thumb, when it comes to altitude and power loss, seems to be a 1% loss every 100m of altitude (or in Imperial terms 3% per 1000').
So at "Hotel Stelvio" you should have a loss of power of approx 28%, while at "It's a long drive up" it should be closer to 19%.
The simulated engine of the Miata that is available for download is pretty close to the real thing, and with that I was barely able to make it up in 1st and 2nd gear (near the top mostly 1st). So I only drive the Stelvio map with a tuned version. I have had the pleasure of driving an 1.8 Liter MX-5 up Stelvio several times and - yes - it is a bit of a chore for the little engine, but not on that level. :)

Another problem is if you shut off the engine at very high autitude it may self-desctruct and even unable to push start.

I normally don't use race cars so I would never have this problem anyway.

Map is amazing overall but you need to fix the backdrop and the skybox. It's impossible to use the day/night cycle.

Also the roads aren't that bumpy at the real Stelvio Pass

But hey, overall it's an amazing map, your efforts really show.

It's an other issue , but it's to be fixed with the Miramar race engine side ;)

You sure? The many roads in BeamNG - in my opinon - are too smooth anyway compared to the real world.
In my experience especially the higher parts of Stelvio can be extremely bumpy. Normally the condition of Stelvio is worse than Giovo/Jaufen which is open all year round but only 2100m high. However the condition of mountain passes in general varies a lot and every year. Patches of the asphalt are repaired regularly. After every winter there are new holes and bumps. Ice and snow freeze in small cracks and break up the asphalt. Snow plows damage the tarmac and slight shifts in the foundation cause cracks or create dents and dips etc.
The last times I drove there I got bounced around pretty good at higher speeds (and as you know higher speeds there mean 80-100 kph).

I went up that road with a friend's 1997 vw golf gti (i know, a prestigious vehicle) about 1.5 years ago. The driver was't pushing the car very much (60-90 km/h ish) and the ride was quite bouncy. Granted, it was winter, but i don't think that the road could get much better.

I'm quite sure it's less bumpy that what it is actually. Feels like 70s asphalt atm

In my opinion roads are bumpy also in the video you linked, we can se a lot of hole in the street and bumps everywhere.
So for me the roughness in the map is correct

I've got an error. BeamNG just refuses to open the map. It says no memory left, then ends with an error and the error report box. :(
