Steering controller in Demo app

I don't see any way to set the steering wheel (game controller) in the demo app. Instructions say 'Go to the "Controllers" menu.' but that does not exist. I downloaded the demo one week ago.

I have a mame setup with a game controller available to use. Would love to purchase this game but using the keyboard to drive does not work properly. After holding down the accelerator (up arrow) for one minute or so the key gets disabled -or- stuck 'on' and I need to reboot the entire machine to play again. I swapped keyboards and still have this problem

The demo is a demo. It shows off the main features (physics). As for your problem, it's your computer. I don't have a clue what is causing it, but your computer is doing it. Not the game. Or your keyboard. In the full version, there is now a (still buggy, but working) controls set-up menu. Your instructions are referencing this menu. You'll be able to set up your wheel as you want.
