Start next mission not working in Driver's Training

When I have completed the first Driver's Training mission and select "Start next mission 'Tight road course'", nothing happens. I just sit there in the car again where the first mission was completed. It seems I have to reload the map for the new mission to appear. Is this a known problem?

Do we know why the Driver's Training as a campaign was removed? In my opinion it was a superior solution compared to the new one. Are there still bronze / silver / gold medals visible somewhere? I can't seem to find that. Getting all golds was a challenge and basically the reason why I played the game, seems strange that it was just removed? What was the reason?
