Has anyone attempted to convert any models/ mods from spin tires? I am clueless when it comes to those file types etc. but there's a fair amount of cool looking vehicles for that game. Any tips/ advice on how to go about it depending on the difficulty level?
Easy peasy. Did it before for a model someone wanted. But if you wanna convert a mod you will need permission from the author before doing anything
What goes into the converting process? Just to make sure I'm not in way over my head before asking permission.
Modeling, coding, coding, and maybe some coding. Trust me, I've tried, but couldn't do it. My efforts may have been affected by the fact that im kind of a dummy when it comes to vehicle models in BeamNG
well, to make a car in beamng you mean? this is a good place to start off if you want to try modding for beamng. it might be a bit hard to learn but its not that bad once you get it. https://wiki.beamng.com/Content_Creation coding? where
Well, you have to make a JBEAM from scratch, you have to do an engine (you might be able to put the T-Series engine in the Kraz or Ural) and its not the same model format IIRC
jbeam is not really coding. jbeam can be based off the t series for some trucks. --- Post updated --- also if you want the spintires model. just send me a pm ill send you the one you want.
May want to ramp up to that. I think I'll try modeling a part first. Shouldn't be too hard to use the d-series roof rack and model a cargo box for the sunburst?
