This was my grandparents car when i was a kid and i would love to see it on the game someone can help me? It is a 1990 Hyundai Excel GL
Unless you're willing to pay someone to make one, I doubt people will flock in to create it, seeing as creating mods from scratch takes many many months
Very much so! https://wiki.beamng.com/Introduction_to_Vehicle_Creation https://wiki.beamng.com/Vehicle_Creation_Guide https://wiki.beamng.com/Vehicle_Creation_Megapage If I were you and I really wanted to actually make this thing happen (which I agree would be lovely!, I'd start with a modified pessima base instead of from scratch, or maybe the old Covet Sedan (just came to mind idk) which I think bears a good amount of similarity to the pic u posted blender ain't no joke tho ngl
Go to in steam\steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive\content\vehicles, copy-past pessima.zip to some other place besides the game folder (lets say, your desktop), extract it, import the pessima.dae into blender, and whittle away, once it looks like you want it, rename all the parts, make textures and map UVs and assign materials and whatnot, export stuff to JBEAM format, and write the info.jsons and .jbeams (engine stats, etc.) I feel like I'm missing some steps so if anyone would like to jump in and add on or correct me, please do!
https://www.beamng.com/resources/covet-sedan.921/ Very old mod by Narwhal (may he rest in peace) that I really like because I owned an 88 civic sedan until it got stolen from me, currently only works on legacy pack fix thingy, and even then I've been thinking about ways to get the damn tailights into their proper place I realized why it came to my mind earlier - the Hyundai Excel in the pic kinda looks like the pessima front end (hood and all that stuff) put onto the covet sedan imo
Oh cool, thank you! Do you know if the 5 door covet by AR162B works in legacy as well? (worst comes to worst I test it myself, so if you don't know, you don't have to go do it )
Ok, good luck! Don't feel discouraged if it's really hard at first - you should create a thread in the "Content Creation" part of the forum and show people your WIP mod (not just to make yourself feel better, but also because that way, you can get help more easily if you end up needing it!) Have fun and I really hope you can get it done and done to your liking!
