(SOLVED)

I've recently noticed that the WBIMP pack became unsupported. So I decided to re-download it. I found that many of the cars are broken. Some cars don't work, some don't have textures, and others work perfectly fine.
Will this ever get an update again? Or could these issues be fixed?

That's more than likely because it's completely outdated at this point, most of the mod wouldn't function properly even if you did download it.
Also, this thread was last posted on a little over 7 months ago, so this is a bump. It's best not to bump, especially if you're not offering anything of value to the conversation.

well, i found a patched version on modland but the vivace wagon is the only one not patched but rest is ok

Do NOT use the " fixed " version on Modland.
For one, that one was not approved by any of the WBIMP Team.
Secondly, modland is not a trusted site whatsoever and I do not recommend going there.
Lastly, you're pretty much spitting in the face of the people who worked on WBIMP by downloading it. Let it die, majority of the parts within are not up to the modders standards. Take a look at KLJP, the successor of WBIMP which has brought so much more, and with much better quality.

Seriously, let WBIMP die. It's so damn annoying seeing people trying to revive it 24/7, it's a dead pack, more than enough is broken and y'all don't even have permission to mess with it.

How would I be spitting in the face of WBIMP by downloading the mod? That would just mean I'm appreciating it.
Secondly, what is problematic with people trying to fix the pack? It's not like they are taking away anything from those that made it.

 

The developers of the mod specifically asked NOT to edit or try and fix the mod. They don't want to see it being revived. By completely ignoring what they said that's like you pretty much spitting in their faces because it shows them that you basically do not care what they specifically asked you not to do.

 

Why do they hate the mod so much then? Also, nothing is stopping people from tinkering with it.

While nothing can actually stop someone doing it doesn't mean they're allowed to. The pack served its purpose and they've moved on from it. The quality of the pack is poor compared to today's standards and the amount of times people have tried messing with the mod without permission is genuinely appalling. It's like people don't know what permission or respect is at this point.

Great, the author is super defensive and wants all fixes taken down. good to know I guess.
Still downloading the fix. sure, I might be metaphorically spitting on the author, but I literally never meant anything bad downloading the mod. Now though? This guy(mod author) seems to have the worst kind of modder behavior.

People need to stop restricting mod usage.
