Shortly after midnight on the morning of August 18th, I got my copy on DLC. It took 5 hours for the game/sim to download, and I had to go to bed, so it waited til I awoke in the daytime morning. I have to say, at first I was not as impressed as I was hoping I would be. Not for bad looks, or lack of what they promised, but for really wonky key bindings that are no where near being what I remember from 2004 and FSX. Yes I know you can rebind them to anything you like, but you have to find them first, and the default setting to see all the possible assignments is "ASSIGNED" not "ALL"... therefore, you'll miss 1/2 of what's available, if you don't know how to change that setting in the filters. This is especially problematic on snap camera in the orbit view of the aircraft... but once you set it to a smooth pan-- like we have with default key #1 here in BeamNG... it's not bad. You have to be realistic about your settings. Those beautiful clouds are the result of the "ULTRA" setting in volumetric clouds, and unfortunately that's the one setting that will bring your frame rates to a crawl. I'm enjoying it, but realize that there are compromises that need to be made. The revolutionary new tech in this thing is not without it's limitations on people who don't have the latest and greatest hardware. But enough about me... anyone else splitting time between MSFS 2020 and BeamNGDrive? What are your thoughts?
