I saw this while browsing /r/weirdwheels and decided it was too cute not to recreate. It has a single cylinder 10hp cycle engine and a top speed of 54mph. However, it only weighed 500kg. A unique feature of the car was that it had no pedals. Gas, brake and clutch were all done with paddles behind the steering wheel. Here are the progress pics:

Texturing has not begun, but I plan on it after I finish the suspension(the last component of the model).
The JBeam will be quick because of how small this car is and because of how few panels it has. If you'd like, you can download and look at the 3d model.

I've heard about those and I think they would be very fun to crash because they are very unsafe. ;)

Sounds like when I used to use a Madcatz MC2 and the pedals broke off the base :/ I raced with full-on-full-off throttle and brake with the paddle shifters and it was pure hell

There was a good reason why there were no foot pedals. These vehicles were given free by the Soviet Union to disabled veterans who were missing one or two feet. The same story goes to the Zaporozhet cars.

Wow. That's pretty cool! I have it ingame so far with a newer version of the model, but I have no textures, so it looks pretty bad. Can you post a pic with the jbeam showing?
