My Internet connection is 100MBPS and can steadily download 10-12 MB/S no problem. When I try to update the mods or download any (in game or via website), I get 30KB/S I have a lot of mods with a lot of large maps. Let it download for 24 hours and it still has a ways to go. Is there a way to get them to download faster or just keep waiting for the mods to download? The website and the game itself downloads really slow. Even after clearing the cache and deleting the mods in the documents foler, it still downloads slow. A 4k 5 minute video 500mb downloads within two minutes.
Most commonly is your storage, or computer specs. Even with high internet, it won't help if you ran a gaming machine with windows vista --- Post updated --- this is not limited to your mod folder, but your whole computer --- Post updated --- also post your computer specs here for a better picture
This happens on the website and the game. I don't have any other games from them. Just beamng drive. This slow download has has been slow for days. I have Windows 10 on my gaming laptop with a Samsung M.2 SSD. It can transfer almost 1GB a second. I don't have any issues with other games, just this one.
I have no problems with download speeds. Perhaps it's just the CDN node in your area that is currently having high traffic, as said earlier.
I'm new to understanding how CDN node works. It downloads quickly with 4g, but no matter what time (even at 3am) it downloads slow using wifi. I understand the update, yes, but this has been going on for weeks. Left my gaming pc on all weekend and it wasn't even half way done (had about 25gb worth of mods which normally takes a an hour to update them all tops). Would a vpn help? If it works fine in 4G, but not with your home wifi, it's legit to think the issue may be coming from your connection. Have you done some speed test, tried to download some big files, etc etc. Maybe just a bad WiFi reception. Tried a cable?

Download on wifi gives me 13,000 kb/s on the wifi, but beamng drive mods give me 30kb/s, 50kb/s tops. I can download the entire beamng drive game from steam within a few seconds. It's just the mods from this website. Gta5 mods download around 10,000 kb/s no problem. --- Post updated --- I ended up just getting a VPN activated and got all 120 mods downloaded within an hour. Guess I'll just start doing that next time it wants to take days to update.
