Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. I don't wanna see another "Any good wom mods?" thread. lets just let OP respond first.
People hate meshslaps becasue the crash horribly(therefore not living up to the BNG name) and the j-beam is stolen and often not credited
1: This is not supposed to be a meshslap iirc 2: They are low quality, low effort, and crash badly, which is the opposite of what we want in BeamNG. 3: We still don't have an answer.
I’d imagine that if the jbeam is 70% complete then it’s probably an unedited meshslap. He hasn’t posted anything on the development screens thread, and hasn’t made any threads asking for help with jbeaming. He’s either the next best modder who knows everything, or he’s just another meshslapper.
These cars are still very reliable and present on modern roads, so it's a nice addition to the game. What i don't like is the fact that people are saying that this is a meshslap and that @Professor Doctor "must" put up a picture or something. Every bloody time that someone is making a mod with a non scratch made model every one says that's a mashslap and that it's bad (see the Porche 944 from Nekkit). Christ on a bike (to put it in a Jeremy Clarckson way) he posted the thread with a screenshot of the model of the car on Monday: what were you expecting, a finished Jbeam in 2 days? Many people have a misconception that every mod that uses a pre-existing model are bad: they are not. Just because if you put in little to no effort it turns out to be a Wom worthy mod doesn't dismiss the mods that have many hours of work put in to them but use a non original model.
You have a valid point, but people were questioning and assuming it is a meshslap because on the first post it says the jbeam is 70% complete, which most likely means that it’s using a pessima jbeam with little/no editing. People weren’t expecting a finished jbeam in 2 days, they were actually questioning why the jbeam is 70% complete in only 2 days.
JBeam / 1.9 TDI / Tacho / Preview I don't want to be a liar or a hypocrite. The only thing I want is to create a quality mod which make fun to play with. Better Quality: Code: https://streamable.com/2e7j9h I hope this is what u guy would like to see. Have a nice day all togehter
Hello, feels good to see that someone is reworking a model and making a proper Jbeam for it (finally). However, would you mind showing us the Jbeam in its current state? This would further prove your sayings and (I'm sure), would make us all even more hyped for this mod! Even if it's simply in Node Beam Editor and not in-game yet (which I can fully understand), I think we'd still all like to see said Jbeam! Cheers, Lucas. EDIT: Whoops, posted it as the same time as OP showed the Jbeam, my bad!
I see that you are including the 1.8t engine. I would assume that this means there will be a vRS version?
