In a recent update improvements to oil simulation was implemented making oil starvation occur more realistically when jumping or rolling your vehicle in the game.

The improvement I suggest for a future game feature would be for Batteries to behave more realistically. In this case if the battery were to take impact there is a chance it could disable the vehicle as such in real life. A battery being knocked out of a vehicle in a collision would render it disabled and loose function of everything such as steering/power steering, engine, lights, other vital components etc. This would be a nice touch of realism to occur for those who love crashing and in general to how in depth the simulation in BeamNG is.

I was also thinking about how batteries could die if you leave the engine on forever

The alternator would make enough charge when the engine is on, even in idle, that the battery wouldn't lose it's charge.

about the suggestion, I think it's super rare that a car battery falls out of a car during a crash. So I guess I think it's perhaps a little useless feature.

I agree with you're response even if its a rare occasion, I still see it being something to be implemented in the future regardless since this game likely has a lot more features to be added ahead of its time while being in its early access state.

You would be thinking about alternator damage. A batteries only purpose is to start the car which is why you can run on a dead battery if you get a jump. Also, most of the cars in beam are older so power steering is not powered by electronics but instead a pump that is mounted on the engine driven by the serpentine belt,
