    Hello,
Let's say I want to make a YouTube video on BeamNG, AND I want to do some good laps, on... For example the Nordschleife, and with an Xbox controller.
    Should I use these options?

    upload_2023-8-18_20-22-58.png

I mean, they used to be enabled by default in my game. And then I turned them off. I was really good before. And then I disabled those options, and I went from really good to crappy.
I've heard that BeamNG is sometimes unrealistic and difficult with controllers, because they don't have the "feel" of a car overtaking or not overtaking, for example. I've heard that RWD is really difficult without these options.
And maybe if they've been enabled by default, it's maybe for a reason that the devs want you to play the game with these options enabled, because.... I don't know?
I just want to have something realistic, without adding unnecessary complexity. And if I publish videos with oversteer and understeer reduction enabled, are people going to think "Ohw, it has oversteer and understeer assist enabled, so it doesn't mean anything."?
Should I use them or not?

If you just don’t mention it, then nobody will be bothered.
Besides, this game is not easy to master, so you just have to know people that complain are propably even worse :p

Yeeeeeees, but I want to do things straight, want to be proud of my laps time. Are you using these options?

I want something realistic. I'm not exactly sure about what you are talking about, but i think it's not in my scope. ;)

The Arcade Steering mod doesn't change the physics of the game, it basically makes it more adapted to controller or keyboard players.
You will notice a difference and much better lap times once you get used to it a bit.

Keep them off you’ll get used to driving without assists. I’d understand if you were on keyboard but since you have a controller you don’t need the extra help.

I saw every answer. And.. So, what are YouTubers using for an idea of comparaison ? Muye for example when he has his controller ? (even I know he's not especially a race driver, but...)
    Oki Doki !
    Thanks!
    I don't know, I should try, but I don't want a help that other people doesn't have.
