I wanted to download a 2023 Toyota Camry mod from Modsfire, but I'm not sure, since the video I watched it from said download at your own risk. Should I download it or not?

Generally, I'd advise you not to download from sites like ModLand. Mods on those sites are often low-quality or just stolen and downloading them can cause damage to your computer as these downloads are often insecure and can bring viruses with them. After all, this forum exists for a reason and you can be sure that mods on the official site are safe to download and not stolen.

@SSRG Since I got a new pc I reinstalled windows to overwrite the previous install because that install had a messy taskbar, desktop and I can be sure there was malware slowing it down that I got from modland.

The link came straight from Modsfire, not a Modland mod redirected to Modsfire. I also looked it up and it said Modsfire is fairly safe.

User in the header of the topic asked about modsfire, and you for some reason described how bad is to download from ModLand. I do not get the point at all.

Modland - website where mods are posted
Modsfire - is a file hosting for mods that is usually used to upload mods only and post them on website like modland. There are a few other similar file hostings that are widely used as well.

I am not a fan of Modland, but it seems like you are creating negative advertisements for them here.

For sure, any similar website might contain mods of bad quality or even malicious, but the second one is usually fixed quite fast and it occurs mainly because any user can upload mods. And yeah, moderation is not excellent, obviously.

When downloading from any file hosting you should be aware of ads. Especially of on click ads. In all other senses - it is absolutely safe. Mods rarely come with .exe files. Only exe (or other similar launchers) can get viruses to your PC. There are no other ways of infecting the win PC.

    Oh, I misread that...

Still, I don't like ModLand especially since they also stole some of my mods and then I was banned after asking the uploaders to take them down.

Thank you! I just needed someone to tell me that Modsfire was safe to download from.
