School Bus V.1, download on this page

Update: The file is now its own folder, still has no preview thumbnail but works
(Currently the bus is embedded in the Gravil T-75 file structure, im working to make it into its own file, if you downloaded a previous version delete that, and download the new School Bus.zip below)

To install: simply drop the zip file into your Documents > BeamNG.drive > mods > vehicles folder.

Notes:
Parking Brakes operate the doors the doors, toggle /static
Front brakes deform incorrectly during collision (working to fix this bug)

ECUSA.

Edit: I know it's probably down the road aways but having the standard issue flashing lights
and flip out stop signs on this would be epic.

Thanks all! The body jbeam was actually quite easy to make, I took the semi daycab jbeam and inserted my own nodes and beams from jbeam exporter pluggin for Blender, it created coltris also. I made the T-75 frame longer, stitched it to the body and figured hey i think this may actually work it worked and i just kept going! learned a heap of stuff along the way.

 

Those fenders need a little work

But other than that this looks really good keep up the good work and don't abandon this!

This looks great! Also you should make a camera somewhere in the back of the bus as if you are a passenger

 

And by the way are the lights on top going to work?

 

This is as amazing as when I learned about beamng drive. And that was amazing. (I've known about the game since about June 2013, took me a year and a half to get it. ) And what's even better is that this looks to be a quality mod! This is going to be a longer two weeks then any I've ever experienced.

Im working hard to make this a quality mode but it wont be UV mapped as I don't know how to do that, maybe in time after the official release! And yes I have plans to have working lights and doors, just learned how to do it yesterday! Ill be swapping code from the semi jbeam files.

Thanks all! I put alot of work and research into so far, been working on it for about 2 months. slow progress untill i got my new job with more time off. I think i learned more about BeamNG making this then when I made the Hyundai (which will be getting an overhaul next) I want to use real engine sounds also, doing some research I came upon this video, I can get a quality sound sample from this.

 

I love the look of this bus. I cant wait to ramp this thing into the side of another bus or maybe mythbusters RV. cant wait, and thank you.

Cool! You should come up with a name for the company that converts the T75 chassis' into buses, since the Russian buses are badged after the company that built the bus, for instance, PAZ or KaVZ use GAZ truck chassis'.

 

I have never seen a yellow school bus in real life. there normally coachers or a normal bus with school bus strapped to the front.

My school used to have some buses like that one, but yellow. Then they sold them and bought some new ones which were blue and green, for some reason.

I don't know why I just said that. Anyway, great job on the bus, but isn't it missing the grill?
