Fish Mafia. He is my personal friend and he hasn't got the game, but apparently he wants it bad, so will it be OK for me to give him an installer and my serial?

Seems fine, I thought about doing this with one of my friends, but decided against it because the race update will bring lap timing, and online leaderboards. I don't want us both to be setting lap times with the same account, if that even works that way. I think it would be okay to do, but I'd wait for some other people to respond as well.

i believe the devs said that some online key system somehow detects who's using the key, and if it detects someone that's not you, or in your family, it will de-activate the key

There's no way it knows who's in your family, but it's possible it uses some other method.

An IP range would be a good indicator as to where the key is being used from.

I'll tell you that I've used my same key to play the game on my laptop several thousand miles away from home, that I use with my PC right here. I doubt that does anything.

None the less, an IP range could and is used to detect when keys are being used at different locations (Normally by different people) to prevent copyright/stealing of games. I don't know if BeamNG has it setup.

Would be a terrible indicator considering most people have a non static IP and varying frequencies of reallocation (mine is reallocated once every 2 or 3 days)

^ I should mention, that isn't me discussing how to circumvent it, that is simply fact. I don't control it, British Telecom do.

well, ik they have someway of figuring out who's you, and who's not (for example, ik that they said that it will deactivate your key if it's used by someone else, but you can use it as many times as you like for yourself, no matter where you are)

If you want your key getting locked, sure ^^

Also i find it funny how people discuss here on how to circumvent the protections, thus pirating the game ;)

It is really pathetic how some people still pirate this game knowing that the price is really affordable. Shame on them, really!

    +1

There's a big difference between buying the game to use on
your own machines, and buying the game and giving it away.

    Welcome to the community!

I think the person should buy the game them selves. for example, I told my best friend about it, and he asked if he could just get it from me, and I was like "NO the game is $15 bucks! you can afford that. and this game currently only has like four devs, so buy it, or don't have it at all." and now he has bought the game and quite enjoys it.

I don't have this problem because all of my friends think this game is extremely gay. They're the COD players and stuff. They couldn't see a good game if it hit them in the face.

I totally agree, i'm all for paying for this game, and not trying to get it for free. It's well worth the price.

I think you'll love it. I highly recommend this game if your computer can handle it. :D

    CoD is gay...

    Valve is best FPS.

The average console game is $60. BeamNG is $15. It's not that much...
