Thanks for taking a look at Ryan’s Add-On’s ! (No, this is not a roleplay thread) Now packed as mods (also they will no longer overwrite files), configs will also now show up in the vehicle selector. Hey! This here is one of my first important threads, i hope i’m not breaking any forum rules with this! Anyway, let’s get to the point! I have started this thread because i have always wanted to share some of my engines that i have swapped into some cars in BeamNG. But unfortunetly i never understood how modding was actually done so i just started making simple engine swaps and messing with jbeam files. Posting pics in some car mod threads with swapped engines i noticed that some people were actually intrested in my silly little swaps so now i decided to make a thread for it to share it to the people that actually are intrested! Currently i have made quite a few swaps, firstly i will be releasing only a few at a time. PS. Some of these may not have the correct engine model / layout. PS. The mods that i have made the add-ons for are not mine, i just make the add-on’s. PS. Feel free to bump this thread. I hope you guys will like these ! FPS Trapetz Engine pack https://www.beamng.com/resources/fps-trapetz-engine-pack.22722/ BMW E36 V8 and V12 https://drive.google.com/file/d/15PJhtTdvjNGxFOPG86KIUeckpVK1R1k8/view?usp=sharing
i like the mods, but it'd be a lot nicer if they were packaged as normal zip files and didnt overwrite stuff already in the mod
well, i dont know how to do that, thats why its called addons not mods, i have tried to pakcage stuff like it but it just doesnt work, and i dont know how to add new engine jbeams, i just know how to add new engines in the jbeam file
you just make a copy of the original engine.jbeam (or whatever part it is), make the changes you want to make, remove all the stuff that is in the original file and then rename the new one. then you place it in the folder structure of vehicles>vehiclename>files and right click on the vehicles folder and click "send to compressed (zipped) folder". then you name that zip and put it in your mods folder
I have packed the files (and updated the links) so they can be put into the MODS FOLDER, thanks @JowoX90 !
I have updated the E36 thumbnails, added a 3.0l Inline 6 Diesel to the FPS Trapetz along with 2 new configurations.
The update is live! Changelog is here: https://beamng.com/resources/fps-trapez-engine-pack.22722/updates
