Hey guys, I played around with the world editor the last days to create a map. I figured out several things now. But one thing I can´t figure out is how to create or name a material assigned to a road mesh that links to particles other than the standard tire smoke. I´ve created a road mesh and material with dirt-textures (DDS) and everything loads fine. But how should I name a material so that it adds mud or gravel particles to my material for the road mesh. I already named it mud, terrain_mud and what not and already searched several threads here in the forum with some good answers. But still, it doesn´t work as expected other than for the terrain with the terrain painter-tool. Any advice would be great. If needed, I could add pictures and additional info later. Best regards, Ron
According to this thread, it does not sound possible yet, as long as your road is a mesh. I guess that a workaround is to use the decal-roads, and to paint the underlying terrain with the appropriate material, that you map back to the appropriate groundmodel. http://www.beamng.com/threads/4318-applying-the-groundmodel-to-a-mesh?highlight=groundmodel
