I have BeamNG.Drive version 0.33. I want to create a new level/map using Small Grid level/map as template. How do I do that? In World Editor, I can create mesh road and decal road but I can't create a new road using Road architect Tool. How can I create a new road using Road architect Tool? Is it possible to import Google Maps and/or Open Street Maps images so that I can "draw" roads on top of the images?
i believe it needs to be on a terrain. and i think gridmap does not have a terrain. you need to use another template map or create a new terrain in gridmap. there is no way to import satellite data straight into beam, best way is doing it with blender or another external software to make the heightmap then use the satellite image as your base texture
https://www.beamng.com/threads/map-in-an-evening.91991/ I explain my process in this thread. It's how I import lidar data and Google maps.
@santeXFz I also have had that problem in which the roads keep on trying to make a loop and it is very annoying. *added image Currently the only solution I have found to prevent that is to : 1. save the road architect session 2. set the road state to edit mode 3. save the level If I save the level when the roads are in the render state the problem you have shown above will occur. The only way I know to fix it is to ether delete all the decal roads and reopen the road architect save file or slowly go into each bit of road and cut and delete it. How to restore your roads Hopefully this helps!
