Removing the fuel tank

When you customize your car and remove the fuel tank, the car doesn't care about it and still runs. Why? Removing the engine makes the car immobile but removing the fuel tank doesn't.

 

Because it goes to a fallback fuel tank in the engine debug programming.
So it just gives the car X amount of fuel.

pretty sure the same thing happens with no engine, or at least used to for sure.

 

it does default to a preset engine, just a fairly weedy one, plus default gearing of 1:1 in forwards and 1:-1 in reverse and a final drive of 1:1 on the differentials.

 

yep, it used to be able to drive the pigeon faster than its stock engine
