Recording/replay and FPS

    Hello, I'm new to beamng (kinda).
    I heard that we can record replays in slow motion to make it smoother and less choppy and also increase fps.
    The problem is when I go slower than x4 when recording the replay, after the replay is saved and I play it back it is laggy as hell and only smooth if I set it to x4 or x2 slow motion!

    what am i doing wrong ? how can i fix this ? do i have to record the replay on slowmo then make it fast on my editing software (i tried it and it made the sounds bad)?
