Random FPS Drop/Limiting

    8GB 1866 RAM
    EVGA 560 ti

It runs at 60 fps perfectly and then suddenly it behaves as if it's limited to 30 or less fps. It makes it horribly hard to control the vehicle sometimes. Wondering if anyone else has the issue or has had the issue.

    Thanks

Maybe the 560ti is not a good card anymore... I don't want to upgrade, but I may be forced to...

Is your 560ti a 1GB card? Because if so, I'm thinking the FPS drop may be due to running out of VRAM. (That's why I didn't buy a cheaper 1GB card) You could try lowering your resolution. (Play in windowed mode if you don't like lower res stretched across your screen)

Put everything on High and Disable everything in post processing. that is DEATH for graphics cards...unless you have a R9 290X which would eat that up for breakfast..but since you dont its the post processing thats killing your pc..

I know this post is rather old but I am running into the same problems, (usually it occours most noticebly when particle affects are being generated, like when drifting but those usually lower my fps to about 9 fps)

    SPECS!
    MotherBoard: Giggabyte 990FX-Gaming
    CPU: AMD FX-8350
    GPU: R9 390 (Gaming)
    Memory: 16GB Corsair Vengeance

I can usually sustain 60+ FPS but it seems to be particle effects that are dragging me down

This happened to me as well (4690K @4.4GHz, GTX 970). Very thick dust clouds and massive FPS drops (from 60+ to 15), obvious signs the engine is creating particles faster than it should. Happened with dirt on modded maps (Insane testing I think). Haven't tested with other particles or official maps.

I get the same thing on my system....I think the particles might need to be looked at as a possible bug fix...
