Hello, I came up with this idea today. I have made a challenge where we have 4 Weeks to design and make a rally car from scratch or from a old base model that you have. These are the requirements: - Must have a Rollcage - Must have door supports - Upgraded engine (optional) When you finish your car, you will make a youtube video showing you do it. Post a link in the thread when you have made the video. The grand prize is... Well, its just to have fun . I do not own this car in any way, but a image of what yours should look like is attached. Have Fun
The car can be anything you want, as long as it meets the requirements. It can be a Subaru WRX Rally Car or just a Modified muscle car.
1. Wrong Area 2. I'd normally ignore this but im bored of the L300 for today so screw it. Ill make a few changes to an old project and post a picture for you. -----------update---------- Well its rough, as in so rough it would need completely remodeling but the whole design was made up as i went along using only two pictures, one of an Audi R8 and the other of a ford GT40.
i'll aim to get my countach finished but i most likely won't - - - Updated - - - i'll aim to get my countach finished but i most likely won't
Everything allready stated above me + 4 weeks to model and texture a decent car from scrach is almost impossible if you have other things you have to take care of IRL. I would say you should increase the timeline if you want quality projects. This thread should also be moved unless you make a rule where the contestants have to post WIP pictures of their projects.
Actually the Plymouth Barracuda Forumula S from the mid 60's was rally raced by the designer of the car.... So, in the 60's?
muscle cars can be used for rally though. (imported from here) (imported from here) (imported from here) But yeah, they aren't used a much. (aussie cars FTW)
Wrong section as stated. But it's funny that people are questioning rally and muscle cars. Rally cars aren't specific cars. And the Duke brothers would shake their heads at you while yeehawing midair. Although it was circuit racing NASCAR (NASCAR! 'MERICA! YEA! ) started on dirt using muscle cars... rum running was often done on dirt and obviously point to point using beefed up cars that equate to or were muscle cars. Rally car does not strictly mean lightweight 2 door car. And?
......Wow. It's the wrong section, WE GET IT OK? It's not like we don't already know that. I would do this if I knew how to Jbeam, I can model and texture a car while I have school, and work everyday, in around 1 week. It's possible to borrow suspension, other parts from stock cars. And of course, It doesn't really matter the car, any car pretty much can be used as a rally car. Its so annoying to see people come to a thread like this just to spam it with useless posts (there's exceptions yes)... /rant
