Questions about lights on a '72 El Camino

I just wanted to know which lights turn on when. I'd like to know:
-Which part of the light is the turn signal? Does the entire light blink, or does a particular area of it blink?
-What are the lights on the bumper and when do they turn on?
Here's a picture of the rear. Any help is greatly appreciated!

 

The red lights in the corners of the body are tail light, brake light, and turn signal combined into one light. The turn signal over-rides the brake light. The "lights" in the bumper are reflectors. The white lights are backup lights
