I've been working on a few objects for a map i'm working on. I used the template to add collision to a simple ramp. When I load it in the editor, it seems like the collision mesh is smaller than the object really is (the collision mesh and object are the same size in blender). Also when I drive up to the ramp or sometimes towards the ramp, the car will either get stuck just before the ramp, get stuck on the ramp or make it over. Curious what I did wrong. Attached is the Collada of the ramp.
Make sure you apply rotation and scale before exporting otherwise that can happen. You can do this by going to the menu down the bottom while in object mode object/apply/rotation and scale.
I wasn't sure what to apply it to so i just went thru all the possibilities, but, unfortunately it did not work, same thing happened as before. The Collision mesh is an exact duplicate of the actual ramp, just renamed Colmesh-1. The collision mesh seems to be half the size of the actual object. Is there some sort of properties setting that would cause this? or did i do something wrong again?
Not a Blender user, but i can tell you that in Max you need to: 1. unlink the objects from the start01 node 2. apply a reset transform (xform) to the models 3. relink to start01 node 4. export. Hope this helps
Messed around with the apply feature and i applied not just the rotation and scale but also the location of the mesh and it seemed to do the trick. Thank you for all the help!
