PS3 controller detected, but no button presses detected

Hi All,
Completely new to this game, loving it so far.

I have realised that having a controller is essential, so I plugged in my ps3 controller, that is detected and available under HW. But none of the button presses or joysticks are detected.

Anyone with some advise?

If the game has detected the controller in Options > Controls > Hardware, then you just have to configure the buttons (if they are not already configured, which may be the case for a few dozen common controllers, but not all controllers in existence).
