Think your bad at drifting? Like me you probably are but its not entirely your fault. The drift cars in this game suck. The devs dont know how to set up a drift car, most mod makers also have no idea. The toe, caster, and camber settings on every default drift car in game are set completely wrong leading to drift cars that easily spin and like to hug the inside of a corner instead of hanging to the outside making it hard to link corners.

I'll try to explain my setup and why I did what I did and try not to get too technical and write 5 paragraphs but I'm going to suck at it. The default drift cars in the game usually have about 3 degrees camber and neutral toe on all 4 wheels. This is wrong, Let's start with the front suspension. With a drift car, you want as much contact patch as you can get when at full lock. So you want to adjust the camber, caster, and toe so that when you are at full lock you have as much of the front tire touching the ground as possible so you have the most front-end grip while in a drift. Here I'll use one of the worst drift cars the etk s series as an example. In picture one(my tune) you can see that more of the tire is touching the ground whereas in picture 2(default tune) the tire is leaning out more(positive camber) and has less contact with the ground. The default tune is actually so bad that the car is lifting the inside front tire off the ground under full lock which is horrible.

Now we get to the rear wheels. As far as camber it depends on your horsepower. In this 200bx drift car, I'm running about -1.5 degrees on the rear. The rear toe is where the big difference is. The default game drift cars run either neutral toe on the rear or even toe in, This makes the car wanna hug the inside of the corner while in a drift. But on a drift car, you wanna be on the outside of the corner. In my drift car, I'm running about 1 degree of positive toe on the rear which causes the car to crabwalk a tiny bit while in a slide which makes the car take wider drifts and helps you stay on the outside of the corner in a drift instead of the inside making holding a slide on a long sweeping corner and connecting slides easier.

Anyways heres the car this drifts way better than the default in game drift cars, is low horsepower(170HP) and is a great car to learn drifting with weather your on a wheel or on controller. Sorry for no thumbnail ive been trying to get the thumbnail generator to work for 10 minuets and it wont. If i get the thumbnail to work or make any improvements ill update this

Edit: update realized 225 drift tires were bad so switched to 195 standard tires and changed body kit.
