Project Cars is the best-looking racing sim I have ever seen! There is not much released and the game itself will be released in fall of this year. I am not sure what the damage model will look like but it would be even better with soft-body physics! http://www.wmdportal.com/

Too early to tell, but if your computer is handling those amazing graphics, there won't be enough memory to handle great physics.

There are videos out there showing damage and as you can imagine it's not that great because it's all about the quality and racing.

I have pCars about 2 years now and of course the physics and the damage model don't even come close to BeamNG's but it's still a great simulator although it is far from finished. Even now way better than Shift/Forza/Gran Tourismo but that shouldn't be the benchmark.
    That's MY opinion. :)
And the graphics speak for themselves :)

pCars will be graphically the best racing game for some years.
Assetto Corsa will be the Sim racing game due their awesome physics.
Damage and MP come later and will be hopefully quality again like the rest of the game.
Graphic is more real like, not too much blur and drama shit like pCars :p

BeamNG will be the best softbody Damage game, lel
But driving in BeamNG at the moment isnt realistic, but this can change with the race update.

Among the modern racing games I have played (GT5, GT6, Forza 4, Live For Speed, pCARS, GRID2, Shift2, BeamNG.Drive, Assetto Corsa) I think pCARS have the best graphics and second best phisics after Assetto Corsa. In real life I drive Ford Focus ST, and I want to say the feeling of car in pCARS (when I drive Ford Focus RS) is much closer to real life than when I drive Ford Focus ST in GT6 or Shift 2. The feeling of car in pCARS is so real that in some situation my fingers trying to switch a turn signals))))))))))))

About driveclub I want to say one thing: more closer to release more simplier graphics looks in videos and screenshots. This is sad(((

I cant believe you just complained about the physics in pCars and then went on to say you are looking forward to driveclub.

pCars will probably be ok, i expect it to fill the gap between forza and assetto corsa in terms of simulation.

In my opinion pCARS is closer to Assetto Corsa than some say, with a custom FFB tweak and the right car it is so much more fun to me and the immersion is just awesome.
I really like AC but I always have the feeling it lacks something.. Well, guess it's personal preference :)
Comparing unfinished/unreleased games is generally a bad idea so let's wait for them to be released so we all can make our own opinion about it.

IMO Asetto Corsa has some weird physics. The cars understeer way too much, and the force feedback on a wheel feels like you're constantly on a gravel road, or you have dolls glued to the tires.

Has damaged cosmetic damage been confirmed for assetto corsa?
I had just assumed it wasn't going to get any.

People think that 458 Italia as example will drive perfectly balanced, but the truth is different..
Anyway last update changed the physics to a better feeling and handling.

Assetto had already damage system on 3 cars, atleast visually^^
