Problems with my signature

So I've been having some issues with my signature here on the forums. I've had a lot of problems with it before, but managed to work through them. So now, I'm trying to change the picture to the NICKORATOR banner you see right now. However , obviously, it shows up really small. The picture I uploaded was 500x124 so I don't know why it's going this. I've changed the size to make it smaller, bigger, and even tried uploading it to imgur in many different sizes before adding it to my signature. No matter what I do, it either says the file is too big (Even when it meets both requirements) or it makes it small as you can see here. I know this isn't really important but it's really bugging me. And ideas?

Ummm i do believe there is an image size limit If i am wrong i do not know how to fix this sorry

I've had similar issues too. Imgur is bad at resizing stuff though.
I had a similar issue but it never got fixed. So, um, I don't know. Sorry.

 

Yeah I was wondering if there was anything people could do. It seems like a really weird issue. And last time I uploaded a banner much bigger than the size limit and yet it still worked. I guess I'll just leave it like it is for now
