problem with the techdemo

I downloaded the techdemo and extract the files,but when I click the file beamNG.drive nothing happens

 

Are you sure you're clicking the .exe instead of the icon file?

Can you show us a screenshot of what you are clicking on in the folder?

i had a similar problem with steam not launching in windows 8, so this could be related. heres what i did to fix it, it may work for beamng too. first thing i suggest is, have you restarted your computer? second thing i would suggest is check for windows updates. My steam didnt launch, then windows updated and it launched after that. hope this helps

 

Maybe try to re-download and install if nothing else works.

Do you have directx?

 

Just curious, what are your system specs?

 

Make sure you have direct x and all the redistributes needed for BeamNG.

 

uninstall the demo and re download, but disable your firewall and your antivirus for the download...
