Problem starting up BeamNG.Drive

I'm having a problem. When I'm in Steam, I press the play button to play BeamNG.Drive. Then, it says "preparing to start up BeamNG.Drive..." and then immediately disappears. The game doesn't load. I've tried closing and reopening Steam, restarting (and updating my PC), turning it off and back on again, etc. Help!

hmm
have you tried re-installing the game?
or checking its integrity in steam?
normally, Beam starts up like that, but if youre not getting the menu or anything at all, it sounds like it might need to be re-installed.
I could be wrong tho, because i have never had this problem

Check that your Antivirus, and similar, are not blocking the game by mistake.
