If we're gonna talk Soviet/Communist cars: Those are pretty, especially the GAZ Volga(first one) is SO right... The balance from front to back in the deisgn is so right. Then again, that one is pretty heavily modified... And the other one was made from 1959 till 1981... A car with chrome and fins... in 1981... Bit strange, but oh well.
These Soviet cars were styled off contemporary American cars, thus some may mistake them for a Cadillac and such. I believe that they also used some components from American cars, such as engines and gearboxes. Rather ironic I think, seeing as the Soviets hated the Americans, I guess if you can't beat them, join them
The 1st one is actually a BMW with totally redone body and a M V12. The technology is German, and styling russian. It well may be my favourite coupe/sportscar ever produced. Just the body lines are so awesome! The design is taken from the original 60's Gaz-21 Volga, which was perfect as well. This very coupe was handcrafted by the best of russia's car crafters. Hre is a interesting article about the car and where it came from. (imported from here) Making it a V12 Sportscar just gave it the epic evil look. While on topic of Soviet stuff, I just love the design of Zil-130. They were produced since the 60's and they are just beautiful. Interesting for many people was, that the only engine option was a petrol i6, because try starting your diesel at -50'C in the middle of siberia. I would really love to own one at one point in my life, with the blue cab. I just love their look. (imported from here) I love all old central/eastern european vehicles.
All the Volga generations had a version with a beefy V8 taken from the giant "Chaika" limo. They were used to intercept peasant western agents. They were pretty much Sleepers before it was cool. (imported from here) The look of the grille just looks that it want to send you to a Gulag.
i think lada niva is the best russian offroad car i've ever seen. its pretty (for me at least) and capatable of extreme hillclimb even with stock equipment and engine with only 80hp and top speed of 138km/h (speed doesnt matter so much). the reason of good hillclimbing is the low weight of the car and 4x4 of course. here it is: and thats the newer one with airbags and abs (!) its produced by chevrolet - - - Updated - - - and one heavy duty truck produced between the wars (1932) it had 8x8 (that was extremely rare then) and reached a fair speed of 30mph (enough for 12 tonne truck with a straight six inside) - - - Updated - - - also lets dont forget about good russian supercars : MARUSSIA that is the model b2
I know its a jag and all but i really think they should have made the bonnet a little shorter. Well i guess it should do well in crash tests since you will be so far away from the incident you would need a telescope to notice it.
It's called a shooting brake. And they're awesome, really. Not a big fan of the FF, but it does look pretty cool. It's also the most powerful production shooting brake ever. There's a shooting brake corvette c7 called the Callaway AeroWagon, and it also looks absolutely great. Alright, this one doesn't look good. At all. (Another render, doesn't actually exist) - - - Updated - - - It's the same as the actual F-Type. The shooting brake rear end might make it look longer though.
