Yeah, yeah, I know: building it yourself is better. But much as I love using my computer, I've never been the kind of person to enjoy the process of setting one up. My current PC is an old Dell XPS 8910 tower from ~2014. Intel Core i7-6700, and a GTX 1060 for GPU. It gets me by, but it's in ailing health. It also flat-out refuses to run some games, so at least a little future-proofing is in order. Anywho, the main things I'm looking for are something quiet and durable. Probably topping out around the $2K range, but I can flex if there's something worth having north of that figure. Desktop only, decent CPU for Beam or other simulation work. GPU capable of doing what needs doing, but I don't need anything fancy: no ray traced games or 8k resolution for me. I've only ever owned air cooled PCs, so while I'll keep an open mind, I might have follow-up questions if your suggestion is liquid-cooled. Thanks in advance for any thoughts you might have!
