Hi everyone, so as some of you know, I make BeamNG movies. However, I notice some are a bit lacking in some aspects, so I'm here to help and make sure your movies will be the best they ever can be!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Step 1: Camera Path editor
If you don't use this, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! The camera path editor can create smooth and better shots that are easier to make and it's not that hard
I would recommend watching this tutorial on it:
Also, one thing: Please turn these off and set it for all of them

If you don't, the camera will start and stop abruptly with no easing. It doesn't fit. So unless you want the shot to start once the camera starts and the shot to end as soon as the camera stops, please do this
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Step 2: Slow motion
Basically, if the game gets laggy, record it in slow motion and then speed it up in your video editor. This makes sure that the final product is smooth and not a laggy mess...
    (Tips for speeding up: If it's slowed down by 2x, speed it up by 200. so like: 2 = 200. 4x = 400. 8x = 800. 16 = 1600, ect)
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Step 3: Video editor
I would recommend something like Davinci Resolve or premiere pro as they are probably the best for these.
Now, I'll give tips with editing

    1. Camera shake
Basically, if your editor has it, add a bit of camera shake but slow it down so it has that sorta handheld effect, it really heightens a scene, especially if it's an action scene
    2. Don't switch clips too fast
If you switch clips too fast, it could make the viewer a bit confused. So for normal shots, I'd say 4-8 seconds. But for action shots, depending how actiony it is, usually it would be 2-4
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Step 4: Sound effects
Okay, so basically, you can get sounds from movies. Yeah, people like crash frontier and myself do that because... well, why not? And Epidemic sound's new sound effects kinda suck so... this is our best option
It's not that hard to get sounds from movies, you can either convert a whole video of a scene from the movie into a sound file, or just record parts.
Now here are movies that i recommend for sound effects:
    TERMINATOR 3
    LOST BULLET 1 AND 2
    FINAL DESTINATION 2
SUPER 8 (For train crash sounds but you can use some for normal crashes)
THIS CRASH SOUND FROM CASINO ROYALE:
    T34
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Step 5: Graphics
So, the easiest way to get better graphics would be Reshade. You don't have to do anything over the top, you can just increase the saturation and sharpness. But you can also do it without Reshade or mods
Here's a tutorial on how to download Reshade in BeamNG:
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Step 6: Script AI
Script AI is also in the first tutorial, but I'll go into more detail
    1. Offset
Basically, offset is like making the vehicle go 1 second ahead, 2 seconds ahead, ect. So like Skipping a certain amount of seconds.
    2. Delay.
It does exactly what it sounds like, it delays the path
(And I can't stress this enough, PLEASE TURN OFF LOOP!)

    Step 7: Music
I would recommend getting music from Epidemic Sound as it has great music for this. You can get sound effects from there too but the new ones kinda suck... so... yeah, just stick with the music
Artists I would recommend: Dream Cave, Hampus Naeselius, FormantX, Experia and more
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Step 7: Replays
This is in the first tutorial also, but I'll add some things
    1. Don't save the replay while paused
If you do, it won't have any sound unless you go into options/sound and then turn on stereo headphones and turn it off again. However, that's buggy...
    2. Recording the replay in slow motion makes it laggier in full motion
Yeah, it's true, so you better make sure it actually needs to be in slow motion, because replays make everything smoother and less laggy anyways
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Step 8: Mods
So this is a bit tricky, I would recommend getting mods from the forums but if you think you're ready, you can... can... GET MESHSLAPS
Now, the reason people use meshslaps is for more variety in cars. Like, you can have a Toyota Prius, A Honda Odyssey, A Scania bus, the list goes on. But please, for the love of god, be careful! Some of these mods are very sketchy. And whatever you do DON'T GO ON WORLDOFMODS! If you want meshslaps, i would recommend Modland, it's probably the "safest" out of all of them. But please don't do this unless you know what you're doing, and i would advise not anyways

Well, that's it for now, cya
