    Hey Everyone,

The problem I have is when I select a map and a spawn point on free-roam my car does not spawn and I do not spawn at the location I selected. If I then choose a car manually It spawns underground and the is no way to get it on land (I've reversed gravity but this does not work). I have a default car selected and changed the default car but this does not cause the problem

I've tried everything but I still don't know why this is happening, I've cleared cache, verified integrity, launched in safe mode, uninstalled and re-installed the game etc...

I have no idea what to do as I have tried everything I can,

Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated :)

Also the issue is potentially caused by a bad mod.
If disabling mod did not solve that, it means the mod has broken something important (or mods where installed badly: https://wiki.beamng.com/How_to_install_mods )
In that case, as said above me, Clean Reinstalling the game would certainly fix that.

Can you maybe show an example? I think I know what you mean but a picture would probably help. Make sure you have no mods installed, try that.

    Thanks for the advice,

I have tried a clean installation but the issue still persists...

In addition to this, when I launch the game the resolution is always set to 59Hz rather than 60Hz. This results in my screen looking 'fuzzy', No matter how many times I change the resolution, whenever I launch the game again it is always set to 59Hz. I am unsure if this is or may in any way be related to my main issue or how to solve this small but annoying problem.

I am clueless as to what may be causing this issue of my cars not spawning and spawn point not laoding, but it may be related to my computer rather than the game (although I have played 100+ hours without this issue). If it is, do you have any idea what it could be?

Below I have inserted I screenshot of what happens when I choose a spawn point and try and spawn a car, spawning a car manually causes it to spawn at sea-level (which is underground on most maps). Although I can manually successfully spawn a car on grid-map (as it is not above sea-level).

    Before manually selecting a car...

Your default vehicle is a Pessima, instead of the Pickup. That would mean you possibly skip the part where you have to manually clear the Documents/BeamNG.drive folder.

Please make triple sure you have followed the steps exactly as written: https://wiki.beamng.com/BeamNG_FAQ#How_do_I_perform_a_clean_reinstall.3F
What you should get at the end is a completely fresh and unmodified copy of the game.

This. If you've done the clean reinstall right, you won't have a problem with the game. So every problem you still have, is not the games fault, but likely some other program messing with Beam or something else (I'm no expert in this kind of situations, the devs know it better).

This is because my default vehicle doesn't spawn, and I just randomly selected a vehicle to demonstrate my issue. The only thing that doesn't seem right is (although I followed the instructions for a clean installation step-by-step) my custom presets are still saved in my garage/vehicle menu... Where would I delete this, as I thought I deleted everything? Or are these presets somehow linked to my steam account?

I think the cause to all my problems is the default vehicle not spawning. I have set other cars (Beam.NG official cars, not mods) as my default vehicle to try and fix this but it does not make any difference

Are you sure you have done step 2?
2: Delete BeamNG.Drive folder from MyDocuments (Backup your mods if you want, but do not put them back until you are sure the game is working fine)
3: Delete BeamNG.Drive folder from Steam/Steamapp/common (If there is still a folder)
And another question, did you change the location of some beamng files? (Not sure if possible) if so, that would explain why you still have presets. (And not have a fresh new copy)

    Hi Jonas,
I deleted all my mods through the game so I can't find my BeamNG Documents folder, (I'm pretty sure I deleted it on my first re-install attempt and as I haven't downloaded any mods I don't think a new folder was made). I will have another look when I have the chance.

I deleted the game files from the steam folder and I have not moved any game files.

I'm also going to download the game on my laptop to see if this is somehow related to steam saves (although I doubt it)

    Thanks for your advice :)

You ALWAYS have a folder in user/documents called Beamng. Delete that. (It contains your settings, mods folder (even if you have no mods, it will still be there), and I think presets)

If you use Win10 and have OneDrive enabled, that folder my be under OneDrive/Beamng.drive instead.

On any case you will have it somewhere, and you must delete it.

Thank you! That's probably why I couldn't find it... I'll check when I get home and I'll let you know if that was the case

@Nadeox1 and @JonasTMT Thank you for all your help so far, I really appreciate it

Hi @Nadeox1 and @JonasTMT, Thank you so much for all of your help and patience. After a very long time of uninstalling and re-installing and searching through folders etc. I finally found the solution to the problem. The reason why I couldn't find the BeamNG folder in documents is because it was a 'hidden item'. Until now I was unaware that you could hide folders, so I didn't know that the folder would still be on my computer.

After deleting the folder (which contained over 4.5 GB of random things- A lot considering the game is only 3GB) and re-installing the game for the millionth time, It launched extremely quickly and my problem was solved. It also solved the problem where my resolution is set at 59Hz instead of 60Hz on launch. It also dramatically increased the performance of the game.

If anyone else has this problem in future and isn't an expert on computers, I suggest you mention to show hidden folders (as obvious as it may be) to save many hours of frustration :p

Once again, thank you for all your advice and patience, I really appreciate it :D

That's odd. The game does not make that folder as 'hidden'.
Oh well, glad it's solved :)
