it would be awesome if you could add the ability to blowup cars and also add the the soft panel stuff on the off road truck course so you got tire tracks during races
Real life isn't like movies and tv shows. Vehicles rarely 'explode' in accidents in real life, regardless of the destruction. Worst that normally happens is just fire, and by then the car wont be running. Fires caused by the battery short circuiting, fuel vapors ignited by the vehicle electronics shorting out, maybe oil leaking on hot surfaces. In a non-accident, the engine over heating, cracking, and possibly starting a fire due to excessive heat and leaking oil and fuel. now, by explode, I mean movie-esque fireball making people jump to the ground 50 feet away. The fiery explosion is done via canisters of gas in the car rigged with something to detonate it.
to clear the air what i am talking i know cars dont explode i am talking like you place an explosive device in the vehicle blow it sky high and ripping body panels of in the process. please respond with comments thanks and by the way we all know movies are 75% FaKe
You'd be surprised by how many people actually believe stuff in movies is real. Not speaking only about vehicle related things either.
Closest I can think of is one of the more recent sega rally games when driving on mud/dirt/sand it left actual ruts in the ground which your car could stick in on the next lap - - - Updated - - - Guns is the other big one. Poor trigger discipline, weapons accurate well outside their ballistic envelopes, bodies (or in the case of the transporter [dunno which number] a god damn wooden door) being able to prevent the films hero being hit and numerous other failures. Petrol doesn't explode. Its actually quite hard to get it to ignite in the first place. Diesel doesn't explode either. Long story short, cars do not explode unless something else is exploding (such as a bomb), but there is no reason for that something else to explode in BeamNG which is meant to be more a racing game than anything else.... Oh another one related to both firearms and cars. Shooting a fuel tank will not ignite the fuel within, just punches holes in it. A car door is not bulletproof, a .45ACP fired from a handgun has been known to go through the passenger and drivers side doors and still have enough kinetic energy to injure a person (probably kill them too). Do not take cover directly against the side of a vehicle (1 metre back and with a wheel between you and the enemy is the correct region).
