Performance is absolutely atrocious with last update

So in all honesty... my pc (or should i say laptop) is a bit of a potato, i5 11300h (Equivalent to an i7-7700t) and a GTX 1650 Mobile, I got it last march... it had around a flat 65 fps then at medium 1080p and it only had 8gb of ram then... I've since thrown 24gb in it.... but since 0.33 came out... i have gotten an unstable 40fps on low and medium textures at 1080p... i have plans of upgrading to a Ryzen 7600 and RTX 4060... however for the time being how can i improve the performance

Disable shadows.
I get like 50 fps with shadows on and 100 fps with shadows off.

Is performance the same when you launch the game in safe mode?

Lighting and shadows are the most resource hungry, set lighting to 'low' or 'lowest', and set shadows to 'low'
