Pausing physics slows down whole PC

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but I found if I pause the physics in BeamNG.Drive and switch out of the window, my entire computer slows down. Switching between windows is a lot slower and when typing I see a 1-3 second delay from what I type and when it appears on the screen, but if I keep the physics running without pausing and switch to another window everything runs at normal speed.

If I pause the physics however, the game camera keeps moving at normal speed, it's only external applications like my IRC client, browser and music player that are affected, BeamNG still runs normally.

This isn't a new problem I've noticed though, it's been an ongoing thing for quite a while now I just got tired of having to stop my car and put the parking break on every time I want to respond to someone on IRC hehe.

Any help would be appreciated though, thanks in advanced.

    EDIT:
I found the source of the bug.

When the game is running it limits the number of times the GPU can update the screen because of how slow the physics are running on the CPU. When the game is paused however, there is no longer any limit to how fast the game can update the screen so it was eating up all of my GPU core, even with vsync on, leaving not enough power left to redraw the other applications in Windows in a fast enough time. This is what was causing the lag between what I type and when it shows up in the screen and what made windows opening and responding slower.

I didn't realize this was the problem at first because even with the fps limiter at 60fps and vsync on it was still using almost all of the GPU core and it wasn't until I lowered it to 20fps that Windows started working normally with the game paused.

I don't know if this is something that's worth being addressed in a future version of BeamNG but this could be a useful thread for anyone else experiencing this problem. Just keep dropping the max FPS on the FPS limiter and eventually it should fix itself.

Sorry to disturb this sub forum with my crappy hardware, but if it means anything it was a guy on the IRC who said I should post a bug report here, I wasn't going to originally :p.
