Off topic question

I own beamng on steam and I have for a while. Whenever I have problems, I check the integrity of the game files on steam. My question is what happens if you bought it from humble bundle? How do you solve problems when most troubleshooting tips are on steam not humble?

 

I think you get a steam key from humble bundle, but I think you also get a direct download. Not sure because I got it on steam
