Everything you want in a nuke except the explosion part, you will get the exact same effect from crashing into the propane tank any way to make it much more powerful?
@workclock1© You get my gist? Tow hook, it needs tow hook node to that end, then it could be hoisted up with that chopper, dropped to ground for amazing footage? As long as it weights less than 500kg, I think that was maximum that heli can lift.
Maybe, yes, making the .jbeam file more powerful, sadly, I don't know how to do it, I only know how to make configuration mods
Maybe 10-20 second wind at full speed for random- or bomb -> vehicle -direction could add bit to range and general nukeness? What is here is ground zero, then blast wave could be that wind part. With wind app you can see what effect that would make, but I doubt it is possible to have wind to several directions, it applies whole map at once, which would be perfectly fine for such small maps BeamNG has (ok few are quite big). Because wind can be controlled by wind app, it should be possible to be triggered same way as current explosion can be triggered, not sure how limited time could work, but I guess some kind of loop could be made for that?
I got nuked by the nuke with my low-end knowledge on how to make the radius bigger. It feels weak because of the radius. It’s very low, and I can’t seem to find it.. Changed every number, did nothing. Is it something in the .dae file that makes the explosion bigger? The JBEAM? Very confusing with my brain, but I can’t use excuses. --- Post updated --- rip my feedback I should of never put this up, should of released the cow prop
i can detonate the bomb next to to a fullsize van and nothing happens... it has to touch the van and seems to do little damage.... but if i drive over it the van gets way more damage... is there something not working right?
The radius and the wind affect is what makes this mod pretty poopy. I’m very sorry for the inconvenience of this mod, I will try to get the radius fixed.
@workclock1© , precompression is 35 by default, increasing that increases blast radius, but problem is that there is only few nodes and only those nodes hitting something at high speed will do damage: So, to make bomb to have longer range with devastating destruction, amount of nodes needs to be increased a lot, I'm not sure how stability of device will behave when amount of nodes is increased 10 fold, but that is my understanding of how to make that thing do more damage. Another point of interest would be to set beam or beams to limit height of the blast, so that energy would be directed more to expansion along X and Y axis. Basically this is spring that is strung and when hit it will unstrung sending those nodes away, by how much you precompress is how much power you load into it. So line 78 of Stage 4 bomb, that is explosion surface, there you find "beamPrecompression":35, I made it 55 and that is what you see in picture. Also I had to play with a fire a bit, but that is just for the show, sadly it will not burn things. I don't think that it will need much more than adding nodes and trying to set something to restrict top nodes of that explosion surface on place more. --- Post updated --- Sorry from spamming, I think this was funny:
Is there or could there be any sort of code that would tint everything orange and desaturate the colors when the nuke goes off, to look more realistic?
A great mod but the part where you are able to pick the detonation strength is missing. The default strength is not fun at all. So I lied, It's not fun, but no worry, you lied about the detonation strength being able to increse so its ok.
