Unsolved Normal Map and Shader Problems

    since there was no reaction on the support thread, maybe this is the right place to look for an answer to this. i would also like to know if you are running into the same issues.

    1) normal maps not visible (broke material pipeline?)

    the "upgraded" material system seems to be broken or not working correctly. the normal maps on terrain blocks, imported from heightmaps or created within the world editor, are not visible. tested with generated normal maps from blender and with the shipped normal maps from "johnson valley".

    recreated the exact terrain dimensions and texture dimension of johnson valley in a clean template and mapped the original normal map from johnson valley to the terrain. all measures and requirements for correct mapping of the textures were matched.

    all textures are visible except the normal maps. on the contrary all normal maps on imported static objects are visible and mapped correctly.

    maybe it is a bug related to the world editor. if yes is there any workaround for this?

    2) shader artifacts on imported heightmap terrain surfaces

    there are A LOT of visible artifacts on the terrain surface that was imported to the engine / world editor via a suitable heightmap. do you experience the same problems? are there workarounds for this?
