Any game/program that primarily uses DirectX now has no sound. I've tested numerous flash games and every single one has sound. I tested many games on my system like Garry's Mod, BeamNG, Just Cause 3, GTA V, and Half Life 2. Every one of them had no sound. Any help? PC Specs Make: Alienware 17 Processor: Intel Core i7 4720HQ CPU 2.60 GHz GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 970M RAM: 8 GB OS: Windows 8.1 (x64) I really don't want to have to factory reset my computer, because when I did it last I had to find all of the drivers which was a pain cause without them my computer is a slow hunk of shit.
After all I have done it was so simple. Nvidia Shield Controller takes the audio from games and sends it to the audio hookup on the top of the controller. Your computer recognizes the controller as actually 3 devices. It thinks the Nvidia Shield Controller is an X360 Controller, a mousepad, and a USB audio hookup. The controller has all of these things on it. In order to still play with the controller, I recommend plugging in the controller after you've started the game, or just use headphones. The Shield Controller was actually made for the Shield Tablet, it's just conveniently compatible with your computer with a wire or Bluetooth.
