Hey Guys, I portet a car mod from blender to the game and yeah, its pretty laggy , this is I think because the Hodd and the grille have so much polygons that the game cant handle it very well, also the crash model isnt that good with so much polys, CryDev want to make a custom jbeam for the car but it would crash exactly the same (bad) like before ... so I really need help with this, I have not really good blender skills so if anyone knows please step by step or it would be great, if anyone could do this maybe then just PM me , Tanks for every reply ! Thanks !

Ok that would be great , the only things that have too many polys are I think the hood and the grille but you can take a look by yourself ;) is it ok when I send you the file tomorrow because its late ? Thanks schumacher

press space and type "add modifier) select the option, and in the window navigate to "decimate" then adjust the slider on the left differing factors to adjust the number of pollies left, it will keep all textures best it can!

the merge method is slow and complex, the decimate option is by far the simplest

First of all sorry that I forgot to send you the model ... I tried the decimate Editor but all it is do is to remove some faces but the polygons are still there I think but I will send you the model Later I think you have way more knowledge than I have :)

I also give the jbeam files etc then you can test the car before and after and can watch if the Performance is better after you did it

You won't find any good way to reduce that mess of polycount without messing up the shape of the thing.
Modifiers may help, but you will end up with some curves getting removed completely.
