One day I was racing my custom truck and suddenly it stopped working and this notification came up. I need immediate help since I cant play Beamng without it.
Why do you need the USB? I'm confused. Also, how do you get a surge on a usb? --- Post updated --- Edit, just realised what the problem was. (Stupid me didn't read the title). How did you surge the controller? Does it work on other computers?
Something in your controler is shorted causing it to draw excessive current which is causing your pc to cut power to that USB port to prevent components in your laptop from getting damaged. I think you should throw that controller away and buy a new one. Some computers don't have USB overcurrent protection, just a fusible resistor that will blow and kill the USB port, so yeah...
I have tested a USB fan in it and that worked, I do have one thing that temporary fixed it and it was cleaning the USB controller end bit, I cleaned it with my shirt.
Must have been some conductive gunk inside the USB plug shorting the pins out, maybe you spilled a drink on the plug or something.
That never happened... But it might just be dirty then. --- Post updated --- Update : I tried the back ports on my pc and it disables the mouse and does nothing, its dead for me.
