Need For Speed: Payback

Ok... EA has managed to sucessfully kill NFS again.

First and foremost...
"players will drive and race as three separate characters united against The House – a local criminal cartel that rules the city’s casinos, crooks, and cops."

And...

"Police pursuits will again feature, along with new heist missions."

Ok... Are we talking about the worst GTA Game yet... Oh wait...

"NEED FOR SPEED: PAYBACK"

So, ripping off GTA isn't bad enough...

"plus the ability to seek out and discover abandoned cars in the world to repair and tune."

Forza anyone?


I give up. Let me go back to my HS now... I need it.

It is an unusual approach to the franchise, but I do see it having potential.



I would preorder it myself (will likely go after the Deluxe version).

 

I think they should kill NFS. It's over, EA.

 

Or, just buy GTA V. Probably better in every way...

Overpriced as hell, who would want to pay $60 for a PS1 game in 2017? Definitely cheaper in other places.

and I'm not a fan of using GTA Online with the bad community.

I'm not talking about the online. Basically, I'm warning you that this'll just be another cash grab. I see nothing original in it.

PS1 is far better. Played both. PC can't hold a candle to the PS version.

 

NFS is trying to hard to be cool and new. When in reality, we just want a taste of the old charm...

 

I found that for pc at a second-hand shop for 2 euros. Research helps

But anyway on topic, I hope for two main changes.
1. The driving model
2. Always online not being present.
Everything else, the story looks like it's not a cringefest, but very closely related to gta indeed. The graphics do look amazing, discovering cars seems like a cool thing to add, considering nfs has much more customization options than forza

 

Odd. They tried with HP, and that sold really well, not to mention that it WAS A GOOD GAME.

Also, why am I getting palmont vibes with the new one. And the name is stupid. Payback? Nah, more like "PAY US!"

 

That's because that game was actually a good game by itself. It had good mechanics and gaming feel.

 

I like the find old cars/fix em up aspect, but the rest is kinda just garbage ripped from other games from years ago

 

Nothing will ever rival HS on the PS1. NOTHING.

(Besides beam, but that's a different story)

 

Now they're grasping at straws, trying to act like more bestselling games.

Beam is not a good racing game. It's a good driving game.

 

Actually, NFS said that Payback will not be always online like the recent NFS games (finally), and with the cars able to be modified for pure drag racing and off-roading, it is likely that we will see a new driving model.

 

EA is the destroyer of video games.

It's already killed simcity, burnout, mass effect, and a bunch of other games...

It's currently killing NFS

And all it has left is it's roster update sports games and battlefield.

 

It also killed battlefront.

 

I never cared for star wars... It's just a name now. (That's why I don't pay attention to battlefront)

 

I know, just another game franchise that died. Star wars is dead. Disney killed it.

 

And now they are trying to bring back burnout via another version of it
