The Flat Top Barge makes a nice elevator for CVN-75:

I just added some scripts to spawn the Motorsports Playground carrier (CVN-75) and some lights for it to the file HighBeam9000_MSPG_HeliCarrier.zip found in Naval Warfare post #159. Instructions have also bee updated. Let me know if there are any questions. Enjoy!

Thank you, but it's not really my carrier. :) I just hijacked one of the carriers from Motorsports Playground and decorated it.

I can't take too much credit there, either. I just added lateral couplers, all of the lights, and a script to self-assemble various carriers... OK, maybe I had an idea and did some stuff. :D

Just completed the post-overhaul test of the helicarrier's steam catapults:

    She's been certified combat-ready.

Now this is awesome. Can't wait to tear up the skies above ECUSA and obliterate the place using the helicarrier and wheel smoke.

The "steam catapult" was implemented with a custom nose gear that emits steam particles, and the footage was sped-up 4x for the launch. The steam nose gear is just a prop for filming. There's no real catapult, yet. :) Someday, in the not-too-distant future, there will be a CATOBAR version of the ME262, with reinforced nose gear and bolt-on arresting hook. Also, for ALL carriers (barge carriers and CVN-75), there will be a catapult and arresting cables. I think I got something figured out.

There's a minimal set of vehicles, accessories and equipment that I would like to make available to all flight officers on the forum. I'm picking really low-hanging fruit right now. Then we can have more and better props for producing film footage and for gameplay. More advanced mods will become available later as we figure out how to build them.

Hopefully the arresting hook doesn't rip the thing apart, I dunno if the plane can handle it.
    Sounding good so far overall!

The arresting cable will have some elasticity, probably adjustable for different planes.

The steaming nose gear mod is attached to this post. The ME262 nose gear steam works OK, but the AN-12 nose gear steam starts sputtering when the engines are throttled up. I'm not sure why. My best guess is that there's a per-vehicle particle limit of some sort, and the AN-12 engines produce more soot above idle, so not as many particles are available for nose gear steam. I might try to turn off engine smoke to see if that helps, but that's for tomorrow.

To use the nose gear steam:
    1. Install the nose gear steam mod.
    2. Select the steamy nose gear for the ME262 or AN-12.
    3. Assign a control to turn the steam on/off.
    4. Turn on the steam when accelerating on the catapult.
    5. Turn the steam off at the end.
    6. Film it and speed up by about 3x for good results.

So, BeamNG has Replays, which can record and playback the physics & stuff for all vehicles. Does anybody know if there's a mod or method to record the physics of just one vehicle, then playback just that one vehicle while I'm driving (or piloting) another vehicle?

Here's what I'd like to do:
    1. Record the physics & stuff of Vehicle 1.
    2. Playback the physics of Vehicle 1 while I'm controlling Vehicle 2 and recording them both.
    3. Playback the physics of Vehicles 1 and 2 while I'm controlling Vehicle 3 and recording them all.
    4. Keep layering vehicles until I have a ridiculous scene, then film it.
I need to take a closer look at what BeamMP is doing to control vehicles...

Script AI Manager, eh? ...but does it work for aircraft... hmmm...

If it does, flying in formation would be easy. You could start an air battle and fight... yourself!

I've never seen it tried, and AI doesn't work normally for planes, but I feel it might work here.
