Nürburgring Caravan Challenge

Does what it says on the tin.

This is possibly the most ridiculous challenge to ever grace the forums, if not, the internet.
Do a single lap of the Nürburgring as fast as you can, with a caravan attached.
RULES:
You are permitted to build any car you want, max speed, downforce etc.
The caravan can be modified via wheels and height.
The caravan HAS to come with an interior.
The caravan HAS to be intact upon crossing the line.

Managed a 10:11.05

 

Well, that was a terrifying exprience! Took me 11 minutes and 16 seconds.

I couldn't wait to get home and try this, its just the type of thing I like to do in this game. I managed a decent 10:45ish. When time next allows I plan to do some more attempts and see if I can get any quicker, I cant decide if more grip to help with sway is worth the risk of rolling the camper or not.

 

I finally got a chance for another run. This time I took the grand marshal track car, made it a limo, and then put a stage 2 6.9 motor in it. I think the long wheelbase of the limo and heavy weight of it helped a lot with the stability of everything and I managed a 10:04.8 ish. I think the milliseconds in the timer I have are counting frames instead so that may be slightly off the exact number but I think that's a new record which makes me the current best caravanner . This was great fun this time, with the limo I could hardly tell the camper was back there. Once I get a chance I will post the video of my attempts leading up to and including this one as a full YouTube video. good luck to the next to take the record, I'm sure someone will manage to beat me I am no race car driver that's for sure.

Couldn't let that slide, obviously!
Got a sub 10 with a slightly revised setup and a bit more experience, though i think there is still a lot of time in there to be unlocked with confidence.

final time was a 09:51:06 (with the last two digits counting the frames, thanks gscare i totally missed that before )
