I've done a few more quickplay hotlaps, though still not sure how I should try and incorporate them into the opening post without it being a messy arduous process. I'm thinking maybe I could use multiple layers of spoilers and organize things like the Forza 4 leaderboards. Quick example template. Spoiler: Quickplay Spoiler: Circuits Spoiler: Hirochi Raceway Spoiler: Full Circuit Spoiler: Standard Covet DX: Hi. Covet Race: Hello Bolide 390 GTR: Hey Spoiler: P2P You get the point. Anyways, here's a couple more quickplay videos. 0'39.891 in the Covet DX on Industrial Circuit Perimeter, 0'58.235 in the FR16 on Hirochi Raceway Full Circuit, and 3'19.310 in the Sunburst Rally on Canyon Race at night.
I have a trio of quick play wheelcam racing videos from the BeamNG Rally Championship that fit here. Also set a pretty good best lap of 1'39.791 on the new updated quickplay event for Trial Mountain while making a GT4 tribute.
A retrospective look at the first ever forum time trial event I did in BeamNG, Rally Challenge, Small Island. I compared my old footage of 0.3 and 0.3.7.7 with a new run in 0.8, and even remastered the 0.3 run to try and see what the actual time was without the severe framerate drops using retime editing to correct the speed.
With a new update comes a new batch of 0.9 scenarios. My Not every time in this is competitive, but should be a decent start on most of them. Spoiler: Times and links Hopping Around: 2'27.35 Dirt Hopper: 1'46.44 Climbing Utah: 3'42.52 Canyon Jump: 0'22.19 Guinea Pig Preparations: 3'56.39 East Coast Chase 3: 1'36.76 East Coast Chase 4: 0'43.76
If you're interested, here are a couple of my times on new scenarios: Hopping Around / in 1:59.82 (v0.9.0.0) Climbing Utah / in 2:44.48 (v0.9.0.1) Your fresh time on Port Container race is inspiring, I'll have to give it a try with the new stuff!
Those are some nice runs, I'll definitely have to give those events some practiced no error runs once I've gotten through some more of my WIP videos. And thanks, good to hear it's inspired someone. Port Container race is probably the event I consider most challenging for me, and the one I'm most proud of whenever I manage to improve my PB time.
I made record attempts for all of the new scenarios in 0.9. The rock crawling ones are always a doozy to run for best time, as it encourages lots of desperate Hail Mary maneuvers that increase your failure chances immensely.
