Just to let you know you should use the new version of my tool that I released yesterday. It has plenty of fixes and additions and will make your life easier. Also I needed to warn you about the scale of your model. I'm not sure it will fit right. If you already saw it in-game then forget about this. But if not you'll need to make sure you exported it at a proper scale AND that the "Model scale" in the editor fits.
mmm ...With the newest version i can't install the model in the 3d editor even with obj file is in the car folder and the scale of the car looks ok for me its 1.008 in the 3d editor and somehow i can only see the wheels :\ Edited : I figured out how to install the 3d model into the editor ... still can't see the nods in the game and car floating in the air
One step ahead -_- but cant load the model ;_; what am i doing wrong ? #feeling down #nobody's helping
The node group is called "1car" in your flexbody section, but "MyCar" in the nodes section. Those should match, so the game knows which nodes the mesh should be attached to. I think making a box on wheels as your first vehicle is a good idea. Much easier to troubleshoot than a normal complex car. Once you've figured out how jbeams work, the next vehicle will be a lot easier.
yup but should it be named something else ? cuz i named both of them "1car" and nothing happened .... so that group should not be named the same name of the car and the dae file should be named something else (matching the group name) ? something like box >>>>> box.dae >>>>> {"group":"Box"} ? car name "1car" thanks for the help - - - Updated - - - Im getting this error when pressing the console button ~ : error creating vertex buffer for mesh car 1 ??? It's so confusing :S
Looks like the relevant error in the console is this: "mesh in .dae not found: '1Car'". It's looking for a mesh with that name, as defined in the flexbodies section. Either change the name in "flexbodies" to something in the "available meshes" list in the console, or change the name of the mesh in Max and re-export.
^1 It's a Honda cube xD ^2 Miura thank you so much for your help , I was so desperate and you gave me a huge push forward <3 But as you can see in the video I've got stuck at the wheels and the engine ..... So what's next ? I can't really find any post about those in the forum or the wiki .
You like the weird single pillar in the back? And looking good for a first vehicle, I haven't even figured out how to swap wheels out from car to car, I end up with the jbeam mesh, but no visual anything lol
The Nissan, I thinks alright. The Subaru, the last good looking Subaru sedan was the 2006 one (But there you go, not the 90s) The Lancer, ok that is pretty cool The Toyota, that is also petty cool
